Fire-resistant wooden doors or fire doors are the type of doors used in public areas such as hotels, dormitories and hospitals.
Fire-resistant hotel doors are special doors designed to both ensure guest safety and delay the spread of fire in the event of a fire, thus saving time for evacuation. At the same time, acoustic sound insulation is provided in these doors.
The tests applied for 30 min, 60 min, 90 min and 120 min fire-resistant wooden doors were carried out in internationally accredited test laboratories. Our company has been providing services in domestic and international projects for years with its certificate received from the UK/United Kingdom, which has international validity in this regard.
The basic features that these doors should have are as follows:
Fire Resistance Duration:
- Minimum 30 minutes (EI₃₀): EI₃₀, EI₆₀ or higher classes are generally preferred in hotels. This means that the door does not transmit smoke and flame for 30 to 60 minutes.
- Fire class codes:
- EIₓ: E (flame tightness), I (heat insulation), x (time in minutes)
Door Structure and Material:
- HALSPAN brand fire resistant door panel imported from Germany.
- German/HAFELE brand door accessories with fire resistance certificate. (Door hinge, Binoculars, Fire and smoke wick, Door bottom guillotine, Door closer etc..)
Smoke Sealing Feature:
- Smoke seal (intumescent seal): There are special seals that expand as the temperature increases and close the gaps.
- Bottom door seal: Automatically falling door bottom wicks prevent smoke passage.
Emergency Requirements:
- Easy-to-open panic bars (not on busy hotel doors but on fire exits)
- Lock system: There should be a lock system that can be opened automatically or easily opened mechanically in case of fire.
- Electromagnets integrated with smoke detectors (on open fire doors)
Additional Features for Hotels:
- Sound insulation: A minimum of 30 dB sound insulation is also expected for guest comfort in hotels.
- Aesthetic surface coatings: Decorative exterior surface options such as melamine, laminate, natural veneer
- Compatibility with card access system: Must be compatible with electronic lock systems.
